I'm hoping to see a story for Grace's older brother, James, and one for her best friend, Rachel. I could've done without a certain sentence regarding previous behavior for a main character, but that's more of a personal preference than anything else. I did notice some repetition throughout the story that wasn't necessary, but all in all I liked it. Their intimate relationship may seem kind of fast, but in actuality it makes sense considering they've been friends for fourteen years, even though the last four there was tapering contact until it vanished completely, and saw one other constantly for those first ten. You feel the characters' sadness over the loss of their friend, Ray, as well as Zach and Grace's over each other, and hers at no longer being able to fight fires in the same way.
Overall I really liked the premise and the friends to more relationship.
